I spread tears of joy at the gym when we do our concluding stretch sessions as I grapple with my leg and make closer attempts to hug my leg around my neck, while nearly performing a Marilyn Manson trick. I catch peaks of strangers holding in their laughs as they watch this stretchy 5′ 10″ Filipino kid act a fool and bend in ways they’re not used to seeing from people of my height. That’s saint status, yo. While I get looks of confusion, while Paul cracks up, while Carole looks in amazement and Jun chuckles, nothing beats the disturbed look on Kate’s face. I don’t blame her. I’d be disturbed too. But she does some weird shit too so we’re even. I’m just much more public about it. That’s why we’re great. You love us.

I want to congratulate Kate for breaking into the city. Kate just accepted a design gig at Lunar Design, just a mile away from where Rob works. SF is in trouble. SF is in more trouble when Rob, Kate and I move in together to SF in the next month or so. All the patience and hard work paid off. Since the return from our 3 week vacation in the Philippines in August, Kate has worked at the following places.

ReadyMade (last day might be today)
Duuplex (quit 2 weeks later)
Anne Taylor Loft (her first day was her last day)

So, Kate pulled two “Jeffs.” My first day at Chen Design Associates was also my last.

Damn, Leopard is ugly. I am going back to Tiger. Not only is Leopard ugly, it destroyed InDesign CS3.

Apple dropped the ball in their design portion of OS X Leopard. It looks like shit. The main Finder bar looks like a pregnancy test blue. The dock is over designed and illegible. Some of the accessibility to things I use, like Automated tasks, are menu items within menu items. Ehh. I wish there were an option to make it classic. It’s over-designed and it’s all unnecessary.
