Early iPhone customers got screwed in a $200 price drop yesterday. Thankfully, Apple will credit early iPhone users $100 store credit. I will use this credit to purchase my first piece of software, Apple’s OSX Leopard. I can probably buy a coffee or something with the extra $25 I have left.

If Apple and Starbucks can partner up, AT&T and Cingular keep buying each other up and if Google can absorb a bunch of other big companies, why can’t Costco offer Kirkland health insurance. My “adding with an H” is pretty bad, my back either has at least 15 knots in it or is leaking liquid, I’m long over due for a dental cleaning and I’d like new glasses. I’d like health insurance that doesn’t cost a testicle, two 4 satchels of gold and 3 goats.

Weather forecasts in the South Bay are saying the clouds will give way to sunshine this afternoon. The problem is, there are no clouds to give way to sunshine. This ominous, orange haze I see within 100 yards of me came from that huge fire from Henry Coe park, somewhere near Morgan Hill. It would be great to take pictures of if I had some slide film to cross process or something I find worth taking a picture of.

Today is one of those dull days where I feel uninspired to do anything. For over a week, I would leave home no later than 9 to a cafe to do anything job-hunting related or design-related and that would extend past noon. Today, after a week in a half, my streak of planned productivity gives way to a day of just being lazy. I’ll probably head over to Kate’s and watch the entire Season 3 Office or something, eat some Vietnamese sandwiches and drink tea like it were still summer.

In other news, I’m still bummed out about Landor not hitting me back up yet. I’m somewhere between feeling like wasted talent and talentless.

I’m quite good at finding things to keep myself productive and busy but I much prefer having a design gig to keep me busy. For the next few days or next week, I’ll be in the process of scanning some 10 sets of photos I’ve taken in the past week. Nothing major but some are pretty cool to look at. I feel so uninspired and I need a kick in the ass to get me going. I really need to land myself a design gig.

It’s true. Sometimes I catch Kate sniffing my armpits because she has a thing for scents. Because I don’t wear cologne, she catches whiffs of my Fresh Scent Degree deodorant. Our love is real, son.

Today, Kate and I head to San Francisco to make our first portfolio drop-of at Landor. I hope for the best.

You know how when you gain weight and you’re in complete denial about it so you keep eating anyway? I’m in denial about how broke I am and I keep spending. Oops. Job search pimpin’. Gotta keep at it.
