This past week has been bumpy with all the lifestyle adjustments that the full-time work world demands, plus I’ve been pretty sick and tethered to my room for the past few days. Today, however, marks my officialness as a professional designer. I’ve been offered a full-time design position with Loomis Group in San Francisco and they are as eager for me to start as I am.

Today, to break away from being trapped in my room for a quicker recovery, Kate and my cousin, Abby, took a day trip to SF to peruse the Mission District and Powell. We visited thrift stores, ate at Osha and had pretty deep conversations over some tea at Samovar Tea Lounge.

Next week, Wednesday, I start my professional career as a full-time, employed graphic designer with a handful of projects and responsibilities being directed my way. Today I received the official offer letter. I like. I treated Kate and Abby to some delicious thai food, tea and scones and bought some pretty cool letterpress things at local boutique shops. I also bought a couple of bottles of wine to kick off a toast with the family and best friends.

A year ago, my Uncle Raymond passed. We all miss him terribly.
