Happy New Years. This is the first New Year’s Eve I spent with immediate family since I was about 4 or something, before Kyle even existed. Normally Christmas and New Year’s involve an elaborate and crowded get-together with the aunties, uncles, cousins, family friends and so forth. It’s just us four at my parents’ Sac house.

The cable is out. Somebody vandalized the cable headquarters so all of STI in Natomas is down. My family, humble and all, spent New Year’s even watching Cinderella Man and The Island, listening to the last 10 seconds of the countdown on FM radio, drinking Martinelli’s and champagne out of 1995 champagne glasses. That was something new. New like this layout—well, more like a site rejuvenation. I added my designs from this past semester. Have a grand New Year’s.

O yeah, and parts of Northern California are flooded. Brilliant. All it took was one night of rain.

With that said, did anybody Tivo the countdown? Listening to the radio for the countdown is just too 1930s for me.
