Shut up. You know you wanna see ‘em.
My 2nd series–3rd roll. I love my Lomo. I hate processing prices. Sac State’s photo lab is closed in the summer. Not like I know how to develop with c-41 anyways. I love b/w developing anyways. I won’t budge for color. But damn, I hate processing prices.

My summer determination: Take more photos. Read more design books. Design. Exposure. MOMA once a month. Paint. Hook up with people to take photos. I just need to stay active. Walk, jog, run, eat, eat, live, sleep design and photo. Sounds stupid but I really think I can do this. I felt too much like shit this semester to not. I have a lot of catching up with myself to do. Summer is going to be fun.

Today was great. ‘ spent time with my parents. Kate did work. I painted my 2d project. I painted for fun. I read. It was well-balanced. I feel at ease with most of my school work put to rest for the next three months. Anyhow, black and red make an easy pallette to paint so, well, I painted one. I wasn’t feeling gloomy or emo or anything. I just didn’t feel like choosing another pallette to work with.

Black and Red Experience

Just an observation: but umm. four instances this year, both in Sac and Milpitas, my neighbors of the Asian persuasion (yeah.. that rhymed) have done lawn work while it was raining. Doesn’t wet grass rust lawnmower blades? And the weed whacking thing, I think they’re holding it wrong. The bottom of the weedwacker is too close to their legs. And it sounds like their weedwacker is choking.

I know. It seems I pay too much attention to my neighbors but they do the most peculiar things. Mowing the lawn in the rain… kinda like blowdrying hair in the shower.

My Lomo LCA Came in on Thursday. Thanks to Kate for going back to the house to sleep while I chill at school before class, she accepted the delivery. When she came back to school, she delivered it to me and within 2 hours, I shot 2 rolls of 36. I developed them the same day and damn… 9 bucks per roll for singles. Damn you Wal Mart. 3 bucks for 2 days it is… Anyhow, here’s what me and my Lomo do:

First off, this semester sucks so anything that wasn’t exactly due in my class, chances are I probably did not bother doing them. With that said, I have only written two out of 7 problem statements for my color exercises and other projects for my Visualization class final Color Manual. But a graphic designer has got to know his resources (and not be a lagger, but like I said, this semester sucked). So what do I do?

A good friend of mine at school is majoring in graphic design with me. Thing is, he already has his bachelorr’s degree, in English, from San Francisco. He’s 27. He’s experienced. He’s a huge fan of NIN. For those who actually purchase things called CDs, NIN released their lyrics/booklet thing on a pdf on their website. So, the CD doesn’t come with it. It’s a 36″ x 48″ poster. Be that as it may, I printed that huge ass poster at work as a proposal for his problem statements. Then of course, add in a few big words, restructure his sentences and all that good stuff.

Twenty-two years and 9 months ago, my parents consummated their love (coincidentally their anniversary is exactly 9 months before my birthday but they deny I was conceived on that day). 21 years and 364 days ago was Mother’s Day. One hour and 9 minutes before Mother’s Day I popped out into this world. Happy Birthday to me you sexy beast. You can send me sexy birthday money to me via Paypal. Just enter “Jeffrey” they know who I am. I’m president.

Hi Kate.
