On Friday and Saturday, Jay and I went to Paul’s house and played in his
garage for a collective 10 hours.  It was awesome.  I’ve been thirsty
for this for a month.  We made good progress.  Paul borrowed Mike
Picis’ drums, Jay and I brought our amps, guitars and pedals.  Kate and
Jhun joined to watch on Saturday.  The following is a list of the songs we
recorded:

-
A Crow Left of the Murder
-

Drive

-

Megalomaniac

-

- An "untitled" original song.

We also went to Frisco @ midnight for some odd reason and tried to spook
ourselves at Presidio.  There was a Vampire’s ball.

Bobby Caldwell – What You Won’t Do for Love

Thursday, February 26th, 2004

I’m on some South Beach diet crap. I don’t know what it is really but Kate tells me what I can and can’t eat. It’ll keep the group motivated–Kate, Kaye and Paul. I’m not trippin. It’s not like it forbids drinking water. But I will miss my candy. And it’s not like my mom makes kare kare every week. Plus, Kate has it harder. She’s a picky eater. I can live off the same crap for weeks. She gets tired of previous night leftovers. Poor child. But I’ll support her.

I agreed to peer-edit the two essays that were assigned to Kate, in addition with my essays. Kate offered to buy me the CODEBREAKERS for PS2 if I peer-edit her partners’ essays. I’ve been correcting essays for about 5 hours, within a collective period of 2 separate occasions. It’s win/win. I become a more anal peer-editor and I get a Playstation 2 cheating supplement. I’m also getting a facial tan from the glare of laptop’s monitor.

I woke up and almost stepped on Kate’s head. She was sleeping on the floor, beside my futon, with a pillow and sleeping bag. I asked her “Why?” after I woke her up @ 1:20pm, she said “I thought you’re mad at me.” Then I kicked her in the stomach and said, “Now I’m mad.” She said, “Ok. Better?” I goes, “Yeah.” Then we had breakfast.

I’ve only been home once this month. I’m going home Friday night. It’s gonna crack, yo. I am taking out my sub for good and just keeping the amp if ever I want to easily hook up the negative and positive terminals back to the sub. Why? So I can conveniently store my big ass amp and ultimate guitar in the trunk. My amp has been turned off (thru the deck) for a bit over a month. I grew out of Best Buy. Whoaa..and it only took..what…almost 3 months. I need a job.

MUSIC!!! If I were to choose between listening to music and making music, I’d easily dumb listening to music. It’s much more of a rush and an experience to make noise come into life. But that is like choosing between having the left or right nut.

Kate and I celebrated Valentine’s day late because we went to Tahoe.  We
chilled with Iris and her friends JJ and Noah for lunch.  Well..anyhow, at
Old Sac, I took some pictures.  It has a theme; I just fail to identify it.
Whatever. Enjoy.

Unless you are writing an academic paper that disregards colloquial conversation, don’t ever let anybody tell you not to use the word “ain’t” because it is not a word. I stumble across an anal-repulsive english guru who commented on my use of “ain’t” by commenting that it is not a word and she practically forbid me of saying it.

No no no, Jeff didn’t let this slip. I told her, “Technically, it is not a word. But, people understand my use of the word and that’s what matters. I did not fail to communicate properly by using the word ‘ain’t’.” The message is: “Ain’t” ain’t a real word but we understand its use in a sentence.

I have an ImageStation post coming up soon as soon as I install Photoshop again. ‘ just freshly formatted my computer. The post is from Kate and my belated Valentine’s Day. Mainly, I took pictures of Old Sac, a splendid and marvelous exhibit of old school imagery. I didn’t do as great of a job conveying what I wanted but you will have an idea of how this city, that can be soooo ugly, look so beautiful. Did I mention I kind of met Janis Joplin…well…very reminscent of her.
